The Augrabies Falls Lodge, constructed in 1953, is a family-friendly establishment located on the R359 road.


Situated approximately 3 km from the entrance of the Augrabies Falls National Park, the four-star establishment is a 2023 South African Top 100 Business Awards recipient in the Camping & Caravan Accommodation category. It caters for campers, business travellers, and holidaymakers. “There is really something for everybody at the Augrabies Falls Lodge & Camp. We combined the old with the new and have 19 air-conditioned rooms available. We offer affordable accommodation options ranging from single and double rooms (some with balconies), to fully equipped self-catering units or chalets, and campsites with private ablutions,” said Sonel van As, who manages the family business.


Meals can be enjoyed at the well-renowned à la carte restaurant on the premises. Chef Magrieta Phillips is in charge of the kitchen and, with her team, produces mouth-watering dishes that suit everyone's taste and pocket.


“Our bistro-style menu contains delicious classic and modern South African dishes. Name it and we do it – from catering and functions to platters and romantic picnics or events, which can be arranged in advance. Our devoted team is ready and well-equipped to make your stay a memorable one,” said Van As. For the thirsty and weary traveller, the cosy bar at Augrabies Falls Lodge & Camp is just the place. It is the preferred watering hole of the locals and is always filled with lots of laughter, good conversation, and ice-cold beer available on tap.
