Mariental extended their unbeaten run and held onto the top spot of the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Southern Stream First Division.

Mariental and Try Again (second) clashed on Saturday and played to a 0-0 draw at the Persianer Stadium in Mariental. A single point sets the two top-placed teams apart. 

Try Again defeated Young Brazilians 2-0 on Sunday. Morisho Vries hit the back of the net in the 25th minute, and Jessy Meyer sealed the deal for Try Gain with a second goal in the 89th minute. Mariental recorded a 2-0 win over Date Eleven. Their first goal came via a Twaungaratjike Korupanda free kick in the 22nd minute. Himeezembi Hengari connected perfectly with a through pass recieved from Edion ||Gowaseb and scored the second goal in the 44th minute. 

The current log leaders accumulated 19 points (5 wins and 4 draws), with Try Again in hot pursuit on 18 points (5 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat) after Round 9 matches and with two rounds of fixtures to be played to conclude the first leg of the league.

Quiver currently occupies the third spot with 16 points (5 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats) from 8 games and pending a DC case involving Celtic, which is placed sixth on the log with 12 points (3 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats). 

The rest of the teams in the top six are Young Brazilians with 15 points (4 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats) and Friends on 14 points (4 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats).
