Namibia Investigation Services (NIS) confirmed that it is providing its professional services on a pro bono basis to the parents of missing 12-year-old Caylie Anushé Hulme.

The parents, Chris and Michelle Hulme, “have legally signed the required mandate and power of attorney, thereby authorizing NIS to provide search assistance, investigative work, and support related to the disappearance of their daughter,” NIS said in a statement.

Caylie was reported missing on 7 January in Oranjemund, in the ||Kharas region, after allegedly being swept away by a river current while swimming. Despite extensive searches by authorities, local volunteers, and specialized teams from South Africa, no trace of the girl has been found so far.

“The family, supported by NIS, is officially appealing to the public to remain vigilant, particularly in riverbank areas,” NIS said. “NIS reaffirms its continued commitment to this case with the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and urgency, and confirms full cooperation with the Namibian Police and all relevant law enforcement and government authorities,” NIS added, noting that public attention and immediate reporting could be crucial.
